Le Président d’Ensemble pour la République, Moïse Matumbi, a dans une correspondance adressée au président de la République Félix Tshisekedi le 18 octobre, déploré la reprise des anciennes méthodes utilisées par l’ancien régime pour imposer à la tête de la CENI un homme politique controversé afin de se maintenir au pouvoir.
« Alors que nous nous approchons des prochaines échéances électorales, les mêmes méthodes dénoncées hier pour imposer à la tête de la CENI un homme politique controversé ont repris. La contestation a gagné les institutions. Démonstration est faite qu’une poignée de compatriotes outrepassent les textes de loi pour assurer leur maintien au pouvoir. Leur attitude met gravement en péril la cohésion nationale », écrit Moïse Katumbi à Félix Tshisekedi.
Il appelle donc, a la sagesse de Félix Tshisekedi afin de ne pas jeter le pays dans de nouveaux déchirements aux conséquences funestes pour l’ensemble du peuple congolais.L’Assemblée nationale a entériné samedi dernier 12 membres de la CENI sur les 13 postes que compte cette institution.
L’opposition qui a dénoncé un processus irrégulier et entaché de tricherie n’a pas envoyé ses délégués.Le parti de Moïse Katumbi a dénoncé un cafouillage orchestré par le bureau de l’Assemblée nationale. Ensemble pour la République a indiqué qu’il va réévaluer sa participation au sein de l’Union sacrée.
